Dr. Ayushi Agarwal, MBBS, MS, FICO, MRCSEd(UK), FAICO (Oculoplastic Surgery), FLVPEI, is a fellowship - trained ophthalmic plastic and orbito-facial surgeon, dacryologist, and ocular oncologist.
She has more than 6 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology.
She completed her MBBS from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), University of Delhi followed by a rotatory internship at Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, New Delhi . She then went on to pursue her Ophthalmology residency from the prestigious institute, Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. She has successfully completed her rigorous 3 - year training in the field from the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India, where she also served as the Chief Clinical Research Fellow for her research productivity.
She is the Executive member of the Young Ophthalmologists Society of India, and serves as the Editor - in - Chief, YO Slides (YOSI initiative). She is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and has been awarded FAICO in Oculoplastic Surgery by All India Ophthalmological Society.
She has more than 25 indexed publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented more than 50 scientific papers at national as well as international platforms, including a few invited talks. She has also won several awards including Best Free Paper award at Oculoplastic Association of India, Best free paper at Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOSCON) in 2019-2022. She has also won several international travel grants including Eye Cancer Foundation and Prof Krothapalli Ravindranath International Travel Award.
She is a clinician researcher, and an alumnus of Harvard Medical School, USA, wherein she pursued her research training (1 - year certificate program) in Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program.
She is an expert in the field of orbital diseases such as Thyroid Eye Disease (TED); endoscopic lacrimal procedures for tearing duct obstructions; eyelid abnormalities such as blepharoptosis, entropion and ectropion, chalazion and stye; and facial aesthetics including dermatochalasis, fat bags, fluid bags, blepharospams and hemifacial spasms.
During her spare time, she loves to dance and read books.
